New York accident results in fatality of woman

Jan 8, 2018 | 0 comments

Though serious car crashes take place on a daily basis, different people are affected by each incident. Additionally, one accident may only have minor impacts while another could have much more devastating outcomes. When individuals die in these accidents, surviving family members may never have expected that they could be affected in such a way.

It was reported that a fatal accident recently took place in New York. The incident involved two vehicles and occurred at an intersection. A woman was in a cab touring an area with holiday decorations when the cab was struck by the second vehicle. The accident took place around 2:45 p.m. Additional details regarding how the accident took place were not given at the time of the report.

The woman in the cab suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident. She was reported as being 89 years old. It was unclear whether the driver of the other vehicle or the driver of the cab suffered any injuries in the crash. It was also not mentioned whether any charges may result. The event is likely still under investigation, and more information may be available later.

The family of the woman killed in this New York accident will likely wonder what their best course of action for handling the situation may be. They will certainly want to attend to their personal needs during this time, but they may also want to consider seeking compensation for damages from the driver considered at fault. Information on filing wrongful death claims may help them determine whether this route could suit their needs.
